Guests included Brian and Peter Boys of B&E Boys, Stephen Greenhalgh of JJO plc, Matt Greensmith of Crown Oil, Wayne Wild of Wec Group, Paul Shaw of Drury Adams, Lee Hopley Chief Economist of the Manufacturers’ Organisation, Tim Jackson Smith of BGlobal plc, Ken Branton of BCH and Andrew Duckworth of Winterhill Asset Management.
The diners were joined by The Rt Honourable Dr Vincent Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade; The Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP Minister of State for Employment and David Gauke MP, Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury.
Jake Berry commented: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring together representatives of local businesses in Westminster. It is important for me to show businesses in Rossendale and Darwen that we are working hard on their behalf and enable them to raise issues directly with ministers.
The lunch provided a relaxed forum for guests to do so and I look forward to welcoming more of the constituency’s business leaders to Westminster in future.”
