Jake racked up the miles on a kayak machine
Jake has notched up an incredible distance on Kayaking Ergo recently in a bid help the British Canoe Union promote the sport to youngsters.

The kayaking machines are a great way to introduce youngsters and indeed people of all ages and abilities to the sport of kayaking. The British Canoe Union has started aTalent Identification programme for individuals with the potential in sport to become canoeists and to take part in its paracanoeing programme and ultimately take part in 2016 Paralympics . 2016 will be the first time paracaneoing will be part of it! The Union are at a military rehabilitation centre and are very much looking forward to developing their work there.
Jake Berry said:
‘I am always happy to help promote sport to young people. Sports such as football and rugby get fantastic coverage on television and are regularly played in schools around the country. With the benefits of regular exercise well known, by raising awareness of sports such as kayaking, I hope that we can attract a broader range of people into sport generally. ’
