A fundraising appeal is currently under way to replace the fibreglass dome which blew off in last week's high winds, and Jake Berry has encouraged local residents to support the campaign.
Jake said, "Darwen Tower is a vital piece of our town's heritage, and I fully support the fundraising campaign. The appeal will begin in Darwen Market on Saturday, and I hope that local people, even in these difficult times, may feel able to put their hands in their pockets to ensure the Tower is preserved for future generations to enjoy."
