Justice for Amy - UK Border Agency appeal for removal of Aso Ibrahim
Rossendale and Darwen MP, Jake Berry welcomed the news that the UK Border Agency will continue their fight to have Mr Ibrahim removed from the UK.
Jake said, “I have received many letters and emails from residents in Rossendale and Darwen expressing their anger that Mr Ibrahim remains in the UK. I have spoken to Damian Green MP, Minister for Immigration about this travesty of justice. In his written response, the Minister stated that Mr Ibrahim should not be allowed to remain in the United Kingdom. He assured me that the UK Border Agency has done and will continue to do everything possible to try and secure Mr Ibrahim’s removal.
“The Minister expressed his deepest sympathy to Mr Houston and his family and added that UK Border Agency officials have been in direct and ongoing contact with Mr Houston throughout and will continue to keep him informed of developments in the case.
Jake added, “This Government has already pledged to establish a Commission to investigate the creation of a British Bill of Rights, replacing the Human Rights Act which was the basis for the judge’s refusal to deport Mr Ibrahim.
“I express my deepest sympathy to Mr Houston and commend him for his seven year campaign for justice.”
